SuperEcoCombi provides a solution for more sustainable transport

Transport up to 72 tonnes in one trip

The SuperEcoCombi (SEC) is being tested in several European countries as a longer brother of the LHV. This combination is already permitted in Finland with a total length of 32 m and a maximum weight of 72 tonnes. Kraker has since delivered the first SEC to PNO and is currently producing the second one.

Impressive combination of 32 m long

The SuperEcoCombi is an impressive combination: a truck with two trailers of 13.6 m behind it. The trailers are coupled to each other with a dolly. The rear trailer is a standard K-Force. The front trailer must meet various requirements, such as a drawbar to connect the dolly and connections for hydraulics, air, light and ABS for the rear trailer. The trailing axle on the 3rd axle of the front trailer reduces the turning radius. The SEC trailers are produced based on the K-Force concept, i.e. bolted trailers that are extremely strong and have a long service life.

More sustainable transport

The SEC can carry as many as two separate trailers and one and a half times what a LHV carries.

That in itself is a benefit for the transport company. CO2 emissions are also reduced by more than 25%, which is a major plus for the SEC. The SEC also takes up less space on the road than two separate trailers. This is helpful for the European road network, which is often congested.

Ready for the future

The SEC is currently only authorised in Finland. Test runs are being carried out in Sweden, Norway and Spain, and they look promising. The road network in the Netherlands is not yet suitable for the SEC, which is why transport to Finland is done with two tractors.

Kraker Trailers sees the SEC as a good concept with many advantages, which will provide more "economic driving". That is exactly why Kraker has developed the SEC with a moving floor. This is another way that Kraker Trailers is contributing to a sustainable transport concept, ready for the future.
