Roller tarpaulin is a commonly used component in a moving floor trailer

One of the most frequently used components in a moving floor trailer is the roller tarpaulin. It is opened and closed countless times in a trailer's life. It plays an important role, but what do you actually know about the material of this very important part of your trailer? At Kraker you can choose from various options.

Panama is a standard roof tarpaulin

Kraker fits a Panama roof tarpaulin made of PVC as standard, which is available in various thicknesses and qualities. We often see that a lighter version (620/860 g/m2) is used in the industry. Because Kraker wants all the components of your trailer to have a long service life, we offer the highest quality as standard: Panama with 900 g/m2. With a tensile strength of 4000N/5cm and a tear resistance of 550-600N, a Panama tarpaulin is sufficient for most types of transport.

Carapax, low weight and very high tensile force

Looking to go one step higher? Then look no further than the Carapax roller tarpaulin. This tarpaulin incorporates a composite of woven Aramid fibre, a product known for its low weight and very high tensile strength. Carapax is widely used in aviation and military applications, as well as in the transport sector.

This type of tarpaulin prevents tears caused by sharp or protruding cargo, for example. The name Carapax was not selected at random, as the material is so strong that it was named after carapace, which is the material of the shell of a turtle.

Whatever roof you choose, you can rely on the quality that Kraker offers.
