Kraker Trailers will be showing two innovative trailers at IAA

K-Force Side Doors and new E-Force prominent

From 20-25 September, the IAA will be held in Hannover, Germany. It promises to be a spectacular edition, because after a few years without an IAA, companies have a lot of news to share. It is no different for Kraker. At our indoor stand you will find a K-Force Side Doors, and in the outdoor area you can admire the newly developed E-Force, so there are plenty of reasons to visit Stand B27 in Hall 25.

Cooperation

It is well known that Kraker Trailers, together with D-Tec, has set up a sales organisation under the name TrailerTec in various European countries. This cooperation will also be evident at the IAA: Kraker Trailers will have a joint stand with D-Tec and TrailerTec GmbH. The synergy between these three companies is self-evident. Salespersons from both manufacturers can now supply customers with everything they need, while benefiting from the back-up of a streamlined company such as TrailerTec GmbH. This partner recently invested in an expansion of the workshop and in good, experienced technicians. The well-stocked warehouse contains all common parts for Kraker vehicles, for example.

K-Force SD at the IAA

K-Force Side Doors with two 6.2 m wide side doors are ideal for transporting long or indivisible loads. You can see this type in real life at our stand. The sales team can explain everything about the construction of this trailer and the advantages it offers. But that is not the only type of moving floor trailer from Kraker, of course. K-Force is available in different versions. The range starts with the standard K-Force, which can be expanded with a number of options. Then there is K-Force Agri, developed for the transport of agricultural products. When it comes to transporting (heavy) waste and scrap, you need a heavy-duty vehicle like K-Force Waste.  For the UK market, Kraker developed K-Force UK, with all controls on the right-hand side and optional domes.

Innovative E-Force

Innovation remains high on the agenda at Kraker Trailers. Kraker's E-Force is being developed behind the scenes. The Paris Agreement stipulates that CO2 emissions must be substantially reduced in the coming years. Transport must, and can, therefore become cleaner and smarter. With this in mind, Kraker Trailers has developed the E-Force, which saves 10-20% on fuel. Instead of the energy released during braking being converted into heat, it is now converted into electrical energy. This energy is stored in a battery and can later be used to power the floor or to support the truck during acceleration. The CO2 emissions of the E-Force in combination with a truck are therefore reduced.

The development of this new trailer was a very intensive project. A number of external partners were involved, each with their own expertise. One party analysed the data, while the other developed the required software together with the Kraker project team. Kraker has since built a prototype, which is now being tested in practice. E-Force is therefore still in the testing phase, but given the results of various tests, the time is ripe for Kraker Trailers to share its latest innovation with the transport industry.
