Introducing E-Force at the IAA
After an extensive development process, Kraker Trailers is introducing the E-Force prototype, which is a new hybrid moving floor trailer. E-Force represents smarter and cleaner transport with fuel savings of up to 20%. Following the introduction of the K-Force, Kraker is now entering a new era in the transport sector.
Smarter and cleaner transport with E-Force
Kraker Trailers firmly believes that transport can be smarter and cleaner. The requirements of the transport sector are becoming more and more demanding, now and in the future. As a manufacturer of moving floor trailers, Kraker is committed to accepting its social responsibility and to contributing to the goals set out in the Paris Agreement. It is expected that CO2 emissions will be taxed by the government in the future. This is one of the reasons why it is becoming ever more important for carriers to drive as cleanly as possible. That is why Kraker Trailers has developed E-Force, a hybrid moving floor trailer. The prototype of this trailer is currently undergoing extensive testing, and once completed the E-Force will become available to the market.
Reusing stored energy
E-Force enables carriers to operate in a cleaner and cheaper fashion, with lower CO2 emissions and reduced fuel consumption.
Energy generated during braking is stored in a battery and used to power the centre axle during acceleration and when unloading. The stored energy can also be used to power the floor. This results in fuel savings of 10-20%. Furthermore, less CO2 is released. E-Force can drive both a shaft and the hydro pump through smart operation of the double coupling on the electric motor. The electric motor can be disconnected from the shaft when it is not in use. This significantly reduces resistance. The E-Force is unique in this respect!
A novelty from Zeeland
Kraker Trailer focuses on developing moving floor trailers that are the most efficient and cost-effective, which is something E-Force emphasises. On the one hand, E-Force is a good development for carriers as their direct costs (fuel) are reduced and future costs (CO2 tax) are intercepted before they are even introduced. E-Force also meets the European demand for smarter and greener transport. Kraker Trailers has deliberately decided to continue to develop even in more difficult, economic times throughout the world.
