You can expand all our standard trailers with many specialised options for all types of applications. That way, you get the most out of your trailer. LHV
LHV

A Long Heavy Vehicle (LHV) is a volume trailer, for transporting products with a low specific weight. An LHV is also referred to as EcoCombi in the Netherlands because of, among other things, lower emissions due to fewer trips required. LHVs are only allowed on routes designated by the government.

 

The advantages of an LHV are:

  • fuel saving
  • less tyre wear
  • lower CO2 emissions

Do you transport bulk livestock feed and are aiming for optimum efficiency? Then choose a short trailer with a bagging unit, which unloading your load in a controlled manner, while at the same time pressing and wrapping it in foil.

The advantages of a moving-floor trailer with bagging unit:

  • fast and measured unloading
  • product is packed during unloading
  • no product loss during unloading

To transport compost and cover earth for mushroom cultivation, for example, a chopper is often chosen, usually together with a conveyor belt. The combination of both guarantees a very consistent unloading speed.

  • extremely hygienic way of working
  • highly reliable and reliable

Lang LKW according to German law
Lang LKW according to German law

Kraker Trailers builds extra-long moving floor trailers for German customers. At 14.915 metres long, this trailer fits within the German 'Lang-LKW' dimensions. The trailer has a capacity of more than 100 cubic metres.

The Lang-LKW is a volume trailer. You use it to transport products that have a lot of volume but little weight. For example wood chips and sawdust, pellets and plastic waste.

The advantages of the Lang-LKW

With a standard vehicle, you transport 21.3t. With the LHV or Lang-LKW, you take 2.4t more. This means that for every 10 trips you drive one less.

On request, Kraker also produces combis: box trucks with a trailer, both loading containers having a moving floor. This combi can be up to 18.75 m long. In combination with a Kraker truck body, Kraker's lightweight aluminium moving-floor trailers are an ideal solution for transporting bulk goods, or general cargo.

 

The advantages of a combi with moving floor:

  • the total volume is higher than a semi-trailer
  • unloading at locations that are difficult to reach, e.g. in a city? Uncouple the trailer and continue with the truck

Huckepack moving-floor trailer for multimodal transport

For this form of intermodal transport, the trailer needs modified air suspension. Gripping points are made on the trailer so that they can be lifted by a crane. At the height of these points, the structure is reinforced. The trailer is hoisted onto a so-called "Taschenwagen", which includes a recess for the trailer wheels.

 

Benefits of Huckepack transport:

  • it is environmentally friendly. CO2 emissions from rail transport are significantly lower than road transport. The European Union therefore has an incentive policy when it comes to multimodal transport.
  • thanks to the fixed schedule of departure and arrival times, transport can be planned accurately
  • unexpected delays due to traffic jams, for example, are out of the question.
